Fall Collection
My fall collection consists of five pairs of pants that reflect my growth as a designer and set the foundation for where I want to take Buoyboy in the future. The straight leg and wide leg pants in this collection are redesigns of my first ever release. These updated designs highlight my journey as both a sewer and a designer.
The other three pairs reflect the direction I want to pursue with my brand. They are more challenging in terms of patternmaking and production, and most importantly, they are designed subtly and playfully to push the boundaries of traditional pant silhouettes.
As always, I aim for my pants to be functional and highly wearable. Please take a look — and enjoy!
  Design Philosophy
My aim for this brand is to allow myself to continue to grow as a designer, always push myself creatively and find unique solutions to problems that I found within fashion. There are four main elements I consider when making pants.
1. Clothes designed to be sustainable, long lasting, unique and wearable.
2. Advancing beyond the limitations in men’s pants specifically in regards to different styles and fits.
3. Considering the anatomy of the legs, designing and creating a garment to cover them but to not inhibit movement is very interesting from a pattern making perspective.
4. In relation to the body as a whole the pants can play a big yet subtle role in enhancing or augmenting the overall silhouette of your outfit.
With my summer release I started playing with different construction techniques, moving/adding seams, and the introduction of pleats to create more dimensionality to my silhouettes, while still keeping my focus on the function and comfort of the garment when it’s being worn.
